As a result of the social distancing initiative needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, many public, non-profit and business services had to change their ways of providing services, as well as reduction in hours of services. All group programming and most in-person services that are considered non-essential are cancelled, and most services have to be accessed via phone or online. These often resulted in increased waiting time and barriers for service access especially for people with language barriers and/or have limited access to the internet. This section outlines the available resources and practical information related to the access of social, legal and health care services.
