On Jan 25th, Project PROTECH’s PACER training programs was featured in FM105.9’s Mandarin show 加国同学会. The program host, Xiao Han, interviewed Dr. Alan Li, Hannan Xu and Andrew Miao from Project Protech together to share their thoughts and opinions about the PACER training program.

About the Speakers
Dr. Alan Li 李大为医生,Co-Principal Investigator of PROJECT PROTECH
Dr.Li is a primary care physician at Regent Park Community Health Centre with over 30 years of experience working with diverse and marginalized communities to advance health equity and social justice. As the past president of the Chinese Canadian National Council, founding president of Asian Community AIDS Services and the Committee for Accessible AIDS Treatment, Dr. Li has worked closely with community stakeholders on many research projects that directly resulted in creating innovative services informed policy changes. These include establishing a compassionate medication program at the Toronto People with AIDS Foundation, immigration legal services at the HIV Legal Clinic of Ontario, multiple health literacy and community mentorship training programs, and a policy change in health cost threshold for immigration economic exclusion eligibility.
Hannah Xu 徐子涵
Hannan is the youth program worker at HongFook Mental Health Association. Hannah holds a master’s degree in Public health. She has extensive experience working with parents and youth to promote knowledge on mental health and family relationship.
Andrew Miao 缪立健, RSW/MSW (安省註冊社工師,社工碩士)
Andrew is a Taiwanese immigrant in Canada. Currently self-employed as a mental health counsellor/psychotherapist; has been involved with Protech Project as a volunteer and a co-facilitator for PACER training since the pandemic.
