Together with 12 collaborating hospitals and community mental health agencies, Hong Fook Mental Health Association is excited to host and re-launch the biannual Diversity and Equity in Mental Health and Addictions Conference, which had been postponed because of the pandemic.
To celebrate our 40th anniversary, Hong Fook, together with 12 collaborating hospitals and community mental health agencies, will re-launch the biannual Diversity and Equity in Mental Health and Addictions Conference, with the theme Pandemic Recovery for All: Promoting IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism) and System Transformation through Institutional and Community Collaboration. We welcome service partners, health professional students/trainees, and individuals with lived experience to attend this two-day virtual conference on Thursday May 12 and Friday May 13, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The biannual conference has been an exemplary academic-community partnership in bringing together a wide range of academics, frontline service providers, managers, policy makers, consumers, and other stakeholders to have critical reflection, dialogue, and mutual learning on equity, diversity, and inclusion issues to improve the mental health and wellbeing of diverse communities. The conference receives excellent feedback and draws an attendance of about 200 participants each time.
