Fooy Hay Lum, longest surviving Ontarian, pioneer activist in the Chinese Headtax and Exclusion Act Redress campaign, passed away in April from COVID-19 amidst nursing home outbreak crisis.
At a recent interview (May 12) of her granddaughter Helen Lee by Yanni Liang of Radio Canada International (Chinese) , Helen shared the amazing life story of Lum and her advocacy of reform in the long-term care facilities. The video interview is conducted in English, and the write up is in Chinese.
