Support Local Businesses
There are many ways we can continue to support businesses in our communities that are struggling because of COVID-19. Whether that be promoting a friend’s business, placing online order for goods, or ordering takeout through a contact-less delivery or curbside pickup, anything helps.
Many local Chinese businesses have experienced a disproportionate decrease in business during this time due to the stigma surrounding the Chinese community and COVID-19. Please remember that all businesses that are remaining open are held to standards of workplace health and safety set forward by the province, and there are inspectors ensuring that these measures are being followed. Consider supporting your local Chinese business owners during this time.
If you prefer to cook at home, but would like to support your favourite restaurants, you can sometimes purchase gift cards that can be used later on!
